Do Not Grow Weary

Staying close to Jesus helps us grow

God’s Word for Me

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good…”

Galatians 6:9 (NLT)

Have you ever worked hard at something and wanted to quit because you could not see anything changing? Waiting for results can feel difficult.

Doing good is a little like planting seeds. When you pray, help someone, tell the truth, or choose kindness, you are planting something good—even if you cannot see what is growing yet. God sees every faithful choice.

Being faithful does not mean you will never feel tired. You can rest, ask for help, and then take one more good step. Keep planting good seeds and trust God with the growth.

Let’s Wonder

What is one good thing that sometimes feels difficult to keep doing?

Why do you think a seed begins growing underground before we can see it?

Create and Remember

Create a Hidden Growth Garden.

Draw a line across a piece of paper to make the top of the soil. Beneath the line, draw three large seeds. Inside each seed, write or draw one good choice you want to keep making—such as helping, praying, or speaking kindly.

Each time you practice one of those choices during the week, add a root beneath its seed and a new leaf above the soil.

Your growing picture will remind you that faithful choices matter, even before you can see the results.

My Next Faithful Step

Each day, I will choose one good seed from my Hidden Growth Garden and practice it.

Then I will add a root and a leaf to show that I kept planting what is good—even when I could not see the result.

A Prayer I Can Pray

Dear God,

Thank You for seeing every good seed I plant. When I feel tired or want to give up, help me rest, ask for help, and keep doing what is good. Teach me to trust You even when I cannot see the growth yet.

Amen.
