Trust the Path
Trusting God’s wisdom when the way ahead is unclear.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.”

Reflection
We often feel safer when we can see where a decision or season will lead. We want clear answers, a complete plan, and reassurance that nothing unexpected is waiting ahead. But much of life unfolds one step at a time.
Proverbs does not tell us to stop thinking, asking questions, or seeking wise counsel. It reminds us that our understanding is limited. We see only the part of the path directly before us; God sees the whole journey. His wisdom is complete, His love is faithful, and His character does not change.
Trusting the path does not mean believing every circumstance will be easy or good. It means trusting the God who walks with us through every circumstance. As we seek God in all we do, He faithfully directs us. Sometimes He brings growing clarity; at other times, He gives only enough light and courage for the next step. Trust begins not with knowing everything that lies ahead, but with remembering who walks beside us.
Prayer
God, when I cannot see what lies ahead, help me trust who You are. Keep me from depending only on my own understanding. Give me wisdom to seek You, courage to take the next faithful step, and peace when answers do not come quickly. Thank You for seeing the whole path and walking with me through every part of it. Amen.

What is something we cannot see clearly right now, and what truth about God can help us trust Him with it?
Share with a spouse, child, friend, neighbor, or small group—or simply ponder it on your own.
This Week’s Next Step
Name the unknown. Remember what is true.
As a family—or on your own—name one situation you wish you could understand more clearly. Then choose one truth about God’s character: He is wise, loving, faithful, present, or good.
Say together:
We do not know ________, but we know God is ________.
Ask God to show you the next faithful step. If no action is clear, your next step may simply be to wait, pray, and place the unknown back into His hands.

Where am I being invited to trust God without having the whole answer?
May you trust the God who sees the whole path, rest in His faithful wisdom, and receive courage for the next step before you.
